Terms of Service

Effective date: July 8, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of GridScanner — the website at gridscanner.net, its app subdomains, and related services (together, the “Service”) operated by Schubert Group LLC (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. The Service

GridScanner provides competitive-awareness briefings for local businesses: it gathers publicly available information about businesses near locations you register — through licensed commercial APIs, including the Google Maps Platform — and presents summaries, rankings, and suggestions to you. Optional features let you connect accounts you control (such as a Google Business Profile) to add your own first-party data.

The Service is currently offered as an early-access beta: features may change, and access is granted at our discretion.

3. Accounts & teams

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Subscriptions, billing & credits

6. Your content & data

You retain all rights to the information you provide (your business details, descriptions, and team setup). You grant us the license needed to operate the Service — to store, process, and display that information to you and the teammates you authorize. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Market data — important disclaimer

Briefings are built from publicly available information and third-party data sources that can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong, and from automated analysis that can make mistakes. GridScanner labels the freshness and nature of its data and avoids presenting estimates as facts — but the Service is provided for general business-awareness purposes only and is not financial, legal, or professional advice. Decisions you make based on the Service are yours.

8. Third-party services

The Service depends on third-party platforms (including Google Maps Platform, Google Business Profile, Firebase, Stripe, and email delivery providers). Their availability and terms are outside our control, and features that rely on them may change if those platforms change. GridScanner is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.

9. Intellectual property

The Service — its software, design, and branding — is owned by us and protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business while your account is in good standing.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your organization at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for other customers, or abuse the Service, and we may discontinue the beta with reasonable notice. Sections 6–13 survive termination.

11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR US $50 IF YOU HAVE PAID NOTHING), AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

13. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms; for material changes we will notify account holders by email before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Questions: hello@gridscanner.net.
