Competitive clarity for local business
Know exactly where your business stands.
GridScanner watches your neighborhood — your ratings, your reviews, and the businesses around you — and turns it into one honest weekly briefing: where you stand, who’s gaining, and the move worth making this week.
Now onboarding a small group of early businesses. No credit card — just your business.
How it works
From “I think we’re doing fine” to knowing.
Most owners feel their competition. GridScanner measures it — with the same public information your customers see when they choose where to go.
Tell us about your business
Find your Google listing, set a radius, and describe what you do in a sentence. That’s the whole setup — about two minutes per location.
We check your neighborhood
On your schedule (or on demand), GridScanner surveys the businesses around you — ratings, review activity, pricing signals, promotions, press, and what’s new — from Google Maps and the public web.
You get the briefing
A plain-English read, in the app and in your inbox: where you rank, who deserves your attention, the openings you’re not using, and a short list of moves worth trying this week.
What you get
Everything an owner needs. Nothing a data team would.
Built for people who run a business, not dashboards — every number arrives with the sentence that tells you what to do about it.
The weekly briefing
The short version of your week — your rank, the map, what changed, and why it matters, with every claim traceable to its source.
The recap email
The briefing lands in your inbox after every check — readable in two minutes over coffee. Each teammate picks their own alerts.
Competitor watch
Every rival in your radius, ranked by how much attention they actually deserve.
Openings & moves
Specific and doable — “own the 6:30 AM rush,” not “improve your marketing.”
Built for teams
Owners and admins see everything; managers see just their locations. Invite by link.
Numbers you can trust
Honest by design.
Most analytics tools quietly dress estimates up as facts. We think that’s how owners end up making bad calls — so GridScanner holds itself to three rules.
Every number says how fresh it is
Live, today, typical pattern, or weekly check — labeled on the data itself, so you never mistake an averaged pattern for this morning’s reality.
We never claim credit we can’t prove
When you try a move, we show what happened next — “in the three weeks after”, never “because of” — and we point out what else could explain it.
Missing data hides — it doesn’t pretend
If we don’t have the data for a chart, the chart isn’t there. No synthetic placeholders, no vanity metrics, no theater.

Connect your Google Business Profile.
Public data tells you how the neighborhood looks. Your own listing tells you what it does. Connect your Google Business Profile and GridScanner adds the first-party numbers only an owner can see:
- Website clicks and phone calls, by day
- Direction requests, by day
- Search & Maps impressions over time
- A real momentum line to pair with the moves you make
You connect with your own Google account, and GridScanner reads performance data only for listings you manage — never anyone else’s. You can disconnect at any time from GridScanner or from your Google account settings.
